PBC worships God corporately on Sundays and our students come together during youth group to do the same. We encourage our students to be as involved on Sundays as they are in our youth settings. Our students worship God in many ways, including music, art, prayer, study, and nature. We also encourage students to recognize that worship extends to every area of their lives. Students who play sports, sing, act, draw, paint, write, or use their talents for God are worshiping Him.
Jesus tells us we are to love one another, and it is one of the best ways we can demonstrate our faith. We give students opportunities to build relationships with one another where they are challenged to love each other like Jesus. We also stress the importance of acceptance and strive to provide an atmosphere where everyone is included. This occurs through small groups, intentional times of fellowship, and events outside the church walls where students can build lasting relationships.
Students are challenged to serve in their daily contexts as well as avenues they are not used to. We provide opportunities within the church for students to serve as well as areas in the community. Children’s ministry, VBS, sports camps, food banks, and our Be the Church Sunday are only some of those opportunities. Every other summer we go on a service trip that takes students out of their comfort zone. We emphasize service as a necessity for us Christ followers, and one way we can share the love of Christ with others.
